What is ImbaTrade Labs?+
ImbaTrade Labs is a research studio that builds autonomous trading tools wrapped in a fun, RPG-style interface. Our first product, Quest Board, lets AI agents (we call them Heroes) trade crypto, commodities, equities, and indices on your behalf — 24/7, no babysitting required.
Think of it like assembling a party in an MMO. Each Hero has its own strategy, element, and specialty. You collect them, assign them to bosses (tickers), and watch them battle the market while you go about your day. Every winning trade earns XP, loot, and levels.
How does it actually make money?+
Each Hero is powered by a real trading strategy — things like mean reversion, breakout detection, momentum, or carry trades. When you assign a Hero to a boss (say, BTC), it opens and closes positions on a 15-minute cycle using technical analysis and AI-assisted decision making.
Winning trades earn you real profit in your own exchange wallet. Losing trades happen too — the key is that each Hero has a built-in stop-loss and take-profit system so no single trade blows up your account. Over time, a well-assembled party of Heroes aims to grind out consistent gains.
No strategy wins 100% of the time. We show you each Hero's backtest Sharpe ratio, win rate, and specialty so you can make informed decisions. This is research-grade tooling, not a "guaranteed returns" scheme.
Do I need trading experience?+
Nope! That's kind of the whole point. The Heroes handle the hard stuff — reading charts, timing entries, setting stops. You just pick which Heroes to deploy, which bosses (tickers) they should fight, and how much capital to allocate.
The game layer makes it approachable: rarity tiers tell you how strong a strategy is, element matchups hint at what market conditions it thrives in, and the Guild Master reviews everything before it goes live.
That said, it's still real money. We strongly recommend starting with a small amount you're comfortable experimenting with.
What do I need to get started?+
Three things:
1. A Hyperliquid account — this is the exchange where trades happen. Sign up at
app.hyperliquid.xyz and deposit some USDC. We recommend starting with $50–200 to test the waters.
2. An LLM API key — our Heroes use AI models to make decisions. You bring your own key so you stay in full control of costs. We recommend
Google Gemini — it's the cheapest option and works great. You can also use
OpenAI or
Groq if you prefer.
3. A Quest Board account — sign up, plug in your keys, open your starter chest, and you're ready to go.
Are my wallet keys safe?+
We take this very seriously. Here's how it works:
Your keys, your wallet. We never move funds out of your exchange account. The Heroes only open and close positions within your own Hyperliquid wallet — the money never leaves your control.
Strict isolation. Every user's keys are stored in their own row with Row Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database level. User A literally cannot query User B's data — the database rejects the request before it even reaches our code.
Masked display. Your keys are never shown in full on screen. We display only the first and last 4 characters so you can confirm which key is connected.
HTTPS everywhere. All communication — between your browser and our servers, between our servers and Hyperliquid, between our servers and LLM providers — happens over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Our recommendation: Create a dedicated Hyperliquid sub-account or a fresh wallet specifically for Quest Board. Fund it with only what you're willing to experiment with. This way, even in the worst-case scenario, your main holdings are untouched.

Same security model as wallet keys — stored per-user with RLS isolation, masked in the UI, transmitted over HTTPS only.
Your LLM key is used solely to power Hero decision-making (analyzing market data, generating trade signals). We never share it with other users or use it for anything else.
Cost control: We have built-in daily and monthly spend limits so a Hero can't accidentally rack up a huge LLM bill. You set the budget, and the system respects it.
Tip: Most LLM providers let you create multiple API keys. Create a dedicated one for Quest Board so you can revoke it anytime without affecting your other projects.
How much does it cost to run?+
Quest Board itself is free to use. Your ongoing costs are:
LLM API costs: Roughly $0.50–2.00/day depending on how many Heroes you run and which model you choose. Google Gemini is the cheapest. You can monitor spend in real-time on the Resources page.
Trading fees: Standard Hyperliquid fees (maker/taker). These are among the lowest in the industry.
No hidden fees. No subscription, no profit-sharing, no withdrawal fees from us. What you earn is yours.
What are Heroes, Bosses, and Quests?+
Heroes are your AI trading agents. Each one runs a specific strategy (mean reversion, breakouts, trend-following, etc.) and has stats like Power, Speed, and a Sharpe Ratio that tells you how it has performed historically.
Bosses are the tickers your Heroes fight — BTC, ETH, SOL, and soon GOLD, SPX, NVDA, TSLA, and more. Each boss has a weakness element and role, so matching the right Hero to the right Boss gives you an edge.
Quests are individual trades. When a Hero spots an opportunity, it opens a quest (position). When the quest completes (trade closes), you earn XP and sometimes loot (bonus rewards).
It's all just fun vocabulary for a real trading system. Under the hood, these are strategies, tickers, and positions — but the game layer makes it way more fun to track.
What are the rarity tiers?+
Heroes come in five rarity tiers, roughly correlating to strategy complexity and historical performance:
● Common — basic strategies, great for learning the system.
● Uncommon — specialized kits with better edge.
● Rare — proven strategies with holographic card frames.
● Epic — pixel sprite art, animated backgrounds, strong track records.
● Legendary — the best of the best. Gold aura, single-mint, top-tier strategies.
Higher rarity doesn't guarantee profits — markets are unpredictable — but it does mean the strategy has passed more rigorous backtesting and review by the Guild Master.
Can I lose money?+
Yes. This is real trading with real money. Markets are unpredictable and no strategy wins every time.
What we do to manage risk:
Every trade has an automatic stop-loss — if the market moves against you, the position closes to limit damage. There are also take-profit targets so winning trades lock in gains.
The Guild Master (our orchestrator AI) monitors all active Heroes and can pause or reduce exposure if things get rocky. You also have full control to stop any Hero at any time.
Our honest advice: Start small. Use money you can afford to lose. Watch how the Heroes perform for a few weeks before scaling up. Think of it like leveling a character — you don't rush into the final boss on day one.
How is this different from other trading bots?+
Most trading bots give you a dashboard full of numbers and expect you to understand everything. Quest Board wraps serious trading infrastructure in a game layer that makes it fun and approachable.
Bring your own keys: Your exchange account, your LLM key, your funds. We never custody your money.
AI-powered, not rule-only: Heroes use LLMs to interpret market context, not just static if/then rules. They adapt.
Transparent: Every trade is logged, every Hero has a public Sharpe ratio, and the Guild Master explains its reasoning in plain English. No black boxes.
